In a city rich with cultural heritage and known for its resilience, there remains a spiritual hunger that material progress alone cannot satisfy. Many in Liverpool, particularly younger generations, are searching for meaning in a world filled with uncertainty and distraction. The gospel offers clarity in confusion and peace in the midst of chaos.

The presence of Christ in Liverpool is not merely about increasing church attendance but about embodying His love in practical, transformative ways—through justice, compassion, and truth. As the city continues to evolve, the Church has a vital opportunity to be a beacon of light, pointing people not just to religion, but to a relationship with the living Christ.

You can partner with us.

The work in Liverpool would fail without your prayers. You are an essential part of what God is doing in Liverpool as you pray for us! For regular prayer updates, you can subscribe to our personal newsletters on the Meet the Team page, or you can find general prayer requests below.

Your gifts are another incredible way to share in our work. While all our living expenses are covered through the generous giving of Southern Baptists, you now have the opportunity to give directly to specific ministry projects happening in Leeds. If you feel led to give to these projects, you can scan the QR code below or follow this link. We are so grateful for you!

You can also come serve with us on a short-term trip. Volunteer teams help us as we evangelize in parks and at summer festivals, strengthening connections with our national partners and giving US churches a greater understanding of the need in Leeds. Please reach out to us if you are interested in putting together a team.

Liverpool

Liverpool, like many urban centers in the UK, faces a range of social and spiritual challenges that highlight the continued need for Christ in the city. Once a powerhouse of industry and maritime trade, Liverpool has experienced economic hardship, community fragmentation, and rising levels of loneliness and mental health struggles.

Amid such challenges, the message of Christ offers hope, healing, and restoration—not only on a personal level but for entire communities. Churches across Liverpool have long played a role in outreach efforts, providing food banks, addiction recovery support, and spaces of belonging. Yet the deeper transformation that Christ brings—a new identity, purpose, and reconciliation with God—is still urgently needed in many lives.

Pray for Us

  • Pray for a fresh awakening to Jesus across our city.

  • Pray for the launch of Grimké Europe Seminary in Liverpool, that God would raise up faithful pastors and leaders equipped for gospel ministry across the UK and Europe.

  • Pray for the ongoing health and multiplication of church plants across Liverpool.
